Every family has its own priorities. We take the time to understand yours.
Meet the Founder
Andrea Small, founder of The Classic Estate Group, brings a personal understanding of home and family to her work. She and her husband, Mat Small, are parents to nine children and have called Chester County home for more than 15 years. With her parents and siblings nearby, Andrea has deep roots in the community she serves.
Raised in Philadelphia and a graduate of Temple University, Andrea began her career on the bond trading desk at Janney Montgomery Scott. She later moved into sales with major professional services firms, helping financial services and pharmaceutical companies address complex business challenges. That experience shaped her approach to listening, solving problems, and following through on commitments.
In 2015, Andrea stepped away from corporate life to focus on her family and build something rooted in her own passions. That journey led to The Classic Estate Group: a company dedicated to helping families manage the contents of a home through life’s transitions with care, empathy, and practical support.
Andrea is a hands-on owner supported by a professional network built over a 25-year career. From her base in Chester County, centrally located within the region the company serves, she coordinates teams for engagements from New York to Washington, DC. When time is short, work can begin within days. When a family prefers a slower process, Andrea and her team bring the patience and support to help them move forward comfortably.

How We Work
We have walked into homes where the family has not been able to bring themselves to open certain drawers. We have worked alongside adult children navigating grief and logistics simultaneously. We have sat with people moving into care facilities, holding a piece of furniture and trying to decide whether to take it or let it go.
We listen first, understand the family’s priorities, and agree on a plan. Some clients need immediate help. Others need time to make decisions. Our team works at the pace that is right for them.
Families consistently tell us the experience was far better than they feared, and that seeing their belongings appreciated by new owners brought genuine peace.
Our Standard
We never rush a family through a decision they are not ready to make. The pace of every engagement is set by the people we are serving, not by our schedule.
Our Commitment
Every item is treated as though it were our own. Sentimental and irreplaceable pieces receive special care. Nothing of value is ever overlooked or dismissed.
Our Honesty
We tell you the truth about what your contents are worth, even when that means recommending a path that generates less revenue for us.
Our Promise
We complete the agreed work, keep the family informed, and settle proceeds promptly. Optional final cleaning is available to help prepare the property for its next step.
What Families and Partners Say
“You deciphered which items were important to us, some of which we didn’t even know my mother owned. You cleaned the house from top to bottom and even arranged to stop a plumbing leak after hours. You met every timeline on a fairly aggressive schedule. Most of all, thank you for your compassion and friendship throughout. We couldn’t have done it without you.”

“Thank you so much for your help cataloging, moving, organizing, and selling my mother’s possessions and cleaning her home. The process was far less overwhelming than I feared. You took care of every detail so we could focus on what mattered most during an incredibly difficult time.”

“What I didn’t expect was how good it would feel to see my mother’s things go to people who genuinely wanted them. There was something healing about watching buyers light up over pieces she had treasured for decades.”
